A History of
Global
Exellence

In the South of the Netherlands, in the region of Brabant, a number of key ingredients have been interconnecting for more than a 100 years, building the strongest Animal Health region in the world:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Social responsibility
  • Care for animals
  • Cooperation & open innovation
  • Strong regional roots & loyalty, yet:
  • Focus on a global market

The entrepreneurial growth of three remarkable Brabant families in the past century is the basis of the region’s industrial and intellectual strength now.

Three extraordinary individuals started businesses here that developed into three connected clusters of companies. Consisting of specialized SME tech suppliers, dedicated logistics service providers and renowned research centers all the way to certification institutes and a number of globally operating multi-billion dollar companies. All three businesses flourished, grew, diversified and have been entering new markets ever since. And in the process bred hugely successful subsidiaries and spin-off companies.

These three gentlemen were Wim Hendrix, Saal van Zwanenberg and Frederik Philips.
